anyway. i start by taking a shower and using one of my lush shower jellies (they are the best). i alternate between the seasonal snowman one and sweetie pie.
after my shower, i lounge around in bed for a while while my hair dries. even though i live in a rain forest, i find that winter is still a bit of a dry time. especially with hot showers. a lot of my nightly routine involves ~moisturizing~ various parts of myself.
now, currently, i have several new tattoos and my moisturizer of choice is the funk off vegan tattoo lotion. i got it from etsy. all of their products are amazing, by the way.
after moisturizing my tattoos, i move onto my face. i like going in an order that involves least greasy to greasiest of moisturizers. for my face, i'm currently loving the etude house play therapy sleeping pack. it's some sort of collagen mask thing from south korea that you leave on overnight and wash off in the morning. it's quite nice and non-greasy, so i like it. on days my skin is super depressed, i use a thick shea butter concoction that i was gifted from an indie soap and lotion company around ann arbor.
once i've moved on from moisturizing my face, i make myself some tea (currently i'm in love with alpine punch from david's tea here in canada) and put a movie on to go to sleep to. mostly because after this everything gets so slippery i don't feel like doing anything else. for my knees, elbows, feet, and any extra dry patches, i use the vanilla bean noel ultra shea body cream from bath & body works. it's all ~holiday~ looking and smells like frosting and is thick and perfect for winter.
after my body is all weird and slippery, i get to work on my fingers. i use sally hansen's vitamin e nail and cuticle oil on my cuticles, massage that in and let it sit all night, then i use burt's bees shea butter hand repair cream.
i smell so, so good when i wake up, it's insane. i also feel amazing.
